Rabbi Yehoyoda Amir - Greeting

The unique liturgy that the Jewish tradition offers for Rosh ha-Shanah and Yom Kippur (New Year and Day of Atonement) gives us the opportunity to delve into our hearts and souls, to reflect on our human and Jewish nature.
It calls us to search our souls for deeper faith, higher convictions and bold spiritual steps that we might not dare to take in other moments of our lives.
When we gather as a community to experience these annual moments, it has the potential to renew us and open new horizons – to engage in improving and healing the personal, social and human environment and to take responsibility for God’s world.

In times of hardship and suffering, war and violence, may the beginning of the new year lead us to spread hope and faith, peace and justice, love and solidarity.

Le-shana tove nikatev ve-nechatem
